Benefits of reading quran according to Quran
Intercession on the Day of Judgment (الشفاعه يوم القيامة):
~ Surah Al-Furqan (25:30): The Quran will act as an intercessor for those who recite it on the Day of Judgment. It will testify on behalf of those who regularly recited it in their lives.
~ Arabic:
“القرآنُ سَيَشْفَعُ لِمَنْ يَتْلُوهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ. سَيَشْهَدُ لِصَالِحِ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَهَا بِانْتِظَامٍ فِي حَيَاتِهِمْ.” –
Companionship in the Grave (مؤانسة في القبر):
~ Sunan Abi Dawud (4753): Narrator Abu Huraira, The Quran brings comfort and companionship to the deceased in the grave. It is believed to be a source of light and protection during this period.
~ Arabic:
“القُرْآنُ يَجْلِبُ الرَّاحَةَ وَالمُؤَانَسَةَ لِلمُتَوَفِّي فِي القَبْرِ. يُعْتَقَدُ أَنَّهُ مَصْدَرٌ لِلنُّورِ وَالحِمَايَةِ خِلَالَ هَذِهِ الفَتْرَةِ.” –
Reward (ثواب):
~ Surah Al-An’am (6:160): Reciting the Quran brings great reward. Each letter recited is considered a good deed and is multiplied by ten.
